Mirrors reflect yet can also refract our vision, offering a distorted reflection of the body and objects within the frame. The first reflection prompts a new direction pointing to over there, a ricochet to over here.
The works in Mirror Effect locate and redirect these signals, generating connections that bounce between artist and artwork, artist and artist, artwork and artwork, artwork and audience. A run of reverberations and echoes.
The set up came from a conversation between two artists recognizing the vitality of gathering these bodies together. This conversation between two bounced and rolled to pick up 4, 8, 10, 12 more.
A body meets a body and each are altered.
